Ms. Carmody's practice is primarily focused on municipal law, civil rights, premises liability, insurance defense, and other civil litigation (state and federal). She received her undergraduate degree in 1995 from Tulane University and her law degree in 1998 from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board. She is admitted to the Louisiana (1998) and Texas (2009) state bars, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Louisiana (2000), Middle District of Louisiana (2001), and Northern District of Texas (2009). She has served as a law clerk for the Honorable Donald E. Walter, United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, Shreveport Division (1999-2000 and 2002-2008) and the Honorable Rebecca F. Doherty, United States District Judge for the Western District of Louisiana, Lafayette Division (1998-99).  Outside of the legal community, she is an active member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier.
