Cook Yancey selects a local charity to receive a holiday donation each year. Academy of Children’s Theatre was selected as the recipient, for 2015. ACT held an art contest, with their students drawing Christmas pictures for Cook Yancey’s holiday card. Two student drawings were selected by a panel of judges, and the firm card was designed with the winning drawings.
Genevieve Carmody and Trevor VanEaton provided the winning entries. They are pictured with their director, Cynthia Whittaker, receiving the check from Elizabeth Carmody.
Elizabeth is a former board member and the current choreographer for ACT and also an attorney with Cook Yancey. The Academy of Children’s Theatre is a company that provides a quality education in theatre and the performing arts to youth in the Shreveport-Bossier area.
Cook Yancey is proud to be involved with this organization, that aims to find a way to let each child shine.
