Jordan B. Bird

Associate

Jordan Bird  focuses his practice primarily in creditor’s rights and bankruptcy.  Jordan  received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, from  Louisiana State University in 2004, and received his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law in 2009.  After passing the bar, Jordan went to work for the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office where he successfully tried several first chair jury trials and bench trials as felony assistant in criminal section 1.  After approximately 5 years with the Caddo District Attorney’s Office, he transitioned into private practice in Shreveport representing financial institutions in state and federal bankruptcy courts.  Prior to coming on board with Cook Yancey, Jordan worked for a year in Lake Charles filing consumer bankruptcies.

Outside of the legal field, Jordan enjoys time with his wife and family. He is an active member of the Shreveport Bar Association and Sons of the American Revolution chapter in Shreveport.
