Luke D. Whetstone

Mr. Whetstone provides comprehensive legal representation to corporate clients and business owners, including local energy firms and Fortune 500 transportation companies.  His diverse litigation experience encompasses jury trials, injunction hearings, and administrative proceedings.  He regularly represents clients in court on a broad spectrum of matters, from tort liability to white collar defense.

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Whetstone offers proactive legal guidance to support his clients’ operations and ensure compliance with the complex legal landscape of local, state, and federal regulations.  His regulatory work includes zoning, labor, and trademark law.  

Mr. Whetstone is an active member of the bar and has served in various roles, including as President of the Shreveport Bar Association – Young Lawyers Section.  He has also been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.  He writes for the Louisiana Bar Journal and delivers presentations on legal issues at UTSA, Centenary College, and Louisiana State University Shreveport.

Mr. Whetstone received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.  He then received his law degree from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where he was selected to the Moot Court Board.  Admitted to practice in Louisiana in 2016 and Arkansas in 2019, Mr. Whetstone joined the firm in 2018.
